What to do if my game asks to update after I replaced the files in sfx? my first time with mods

Please fix your mod, cause the micro smg and combat pistol doesn't shoot.

@alex4137 I know i'm very late, you need to use scriptHookV and OpenRPF to use this sound pack on Enhanced version as described in the descriptions...

@El chino That doesn't work either because BattlEye blocks OpenIV.asi and OpenRPF now from allowing the game to read the modded RPF files and still launch/load. Even if it is disabled. This mod no longer works with GTA V Enhanced. I had a working realistic gunshot audio mod prior to the Rockstar update in December that more or less nuked my play through. I've got all the mods back I had before on Enhanced but have not been able to find a gunshot audio mod that doesn't require OpenIV or OpenRPF, both like I said BattlEye will not allow to be read anymore. Apparently, any audio overhauls now have to be DLC-mounted AWC audio to work on GTA V Enhanced.

@TacticalVNM That is not true. all you need is scripthookV and OpenRPF, OpenIV.asi will stop you from loading in the new preview was recorded on enhanced. this means you aren't doing something correctly (please read the how to install) Script hookV also has a bug when installing the asrg.txt file if you have this text file installed please remove it.

might be just me or not but on third person some shotguns cant be fired only on first person,,,,.,. cool sound pack 10/10 love the suppressors

@El chino Yes, it is true, and I just confirmed this mod no longer works on the current Enhanced build. I put in a fresh reinstall (100 percent vanilla) and it launches fine. Then I added ONLY ScriptHookV.dll, dinput8.dll, and openrpf.asi and the game still launches and loads Story Mode. The moment I replace WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf and RESIDENT.rpf (per your instructions), the game fails at launch and returns to Steam/Rockstar Games Launcher. Disabling Battleye causes an error message that doesn't allow the game to launch either. There is no arg.txt in my root folder. So unless you have some wizardry workaround you're not mentioning in the instructions, this mod does not work with Enhanced anymore because the RPF swap itself triggers a conflict with Battleye and stalls the game out. I have installed 14 working mods in GTA V Legacy and had seven working previously on Enhanced before that Rockstar update. I know what I'm doing. This mod is not compatible anymore. Feel free to prove me wrong because ultimately I just want these shitty vanilla gunshots replaced with the upgraded ones in your mod, which sound terrific.

Please fix the mod, it's great, but some weapons don't fire when viewed from a third-person perspective, in my case, shotguns and combat pistols. However, everything works from a first-person perspective, and we eagerly await your corrections. You're a great modder!)

@El chino Ok I got it to work, after hours of troubleshooting. I personally had to use xinput instead of dinput, and like your instructions state make sure openrpf.asi is in the root folder. I tried to delete my earlier comment but it wouldn't let me. I would definitely add in that piece in your instructions about possibly needing xinput for Enhanced because the game would not load in until I switched that from dinput and then added in openrpf.asi in the root game folder. Also worth mentioning, I tried to drop the Weapons Player and Resident files through my mods folder pathway but it wouldn't read it in game for whatever reason, even with openrpf.asi in my root game folder. I know it's not ideal to modify root game files but I created a backup before adding in your Weapons Player and Resident. I also had Battleye turned off in Rockstar Games Launcher, if that mattters. This is an awesome mod and yes it does work on Enhanced. I apologize for my haste, but this was the only mod I wasn't able to recover from Rockstar's update nuking my previous setup and I could not figure out why.

@TacticalVNM I'm glad you got it to work. ScriptHookV does mention that Xinput is for enhanced and not legacy. I will make sure to add this to the description of the next update, Also for those whose Shotgun/Appistol aren't shooting for some player (not all), I will be looking intoit and should have it fixed in the next Update.

@FrostV1 @el chino Second this. Nothing happens in third person with either of the shotguns when you click the trigger, on a controller or a mouse.

Some shotguns wont shoot unless in first person
