Description:
I can see from this page that there is only one other mod out there and it seems that sound mods for planes are a quite high demand. This mod replaces the sounds for the following vehicles:
- Jet (747)
- Vestra
- Shamal
- Nimbus
- Miljet
- Mammatus
- Mallard
- Luxor
- Cargo Plane
------------------------------------------------------------------
Install:
1: Open "OpenIV" and nav to this folder: mods\x64\audio\sfx\STREAMED_VEHICLES.rpf\
2: Click edit mode in OpenIV and go into each folder in the New Plane Sounds Folder and drag the .oac file into the STREAMED_VEHICLES.rpf folder.
If that does not work simply go to the top of OpenIV and click new, and then click import Openformats and locate the .oac files.

This 1st version of this mod was put together in a single night, so report any bugs to me and I'll do what I can to try and fix whatever the problem may be.
This is my first ever GTA V Mod, apologies if it's not great!

Do I have to use the vehicle folder provided, or is the file provided in the "New" folder good to use if I have a modified vehicles.oac already? Idk why but it seems the Cargo Plane sound works not the others, and I have replaced the original sound files with the modified ones. I'll retry and comment again if it didn't work.

@Cookies2568 Just follow and read the read me folder carfully, it tells you exactly what to do and where to put files.
@ImAyzah Was able to get all other plane sounds working except the jet, and yes it's installed to the mods folders.
I'd still like to get add-on sounds somehow working to have even more variety or even own sounds for each add-on plane. A man can dream... But nice work here nevertheless :)
Maybe my ears aren't hearing the difference with the jet sounds nonetheless great sounds and very pleasing to the ears especially the Luxor. You plan to create a helicopter sound mod :)?

why do we still have to unload the .oac fiels into the mods\x64\audio\sfx\RESIDENT.rpf\ folder?

@ImAyzh when I drag the .oac for the jet into Stream_Vehicles it gives me an error?
jet.oac(Line 16): File "jet\0x0168A493.wav" not found.

Will this change the ambient noises of planes too like when they fly above you in the city?
@ImAyzh Hey, cargo plane sounds are fucked. Not working man.
@Hslo its because the author used 48000Hz sample rate which resulted in file sizes that are too big for V to stream. Fixed it by re-rendering the WAVs in Audacity to 22500Hz, the original sample rate of the original files.
Only the cargo plane sound is not working, but good work
