@lucasvinbr Yeah man as a future addition that could be quite groundbreaking for a single mod. (as this already is) I keep forgetting that i'm using other mods, and honestly they all just feel like add on's for your mod lolol :D So your mod feels so much more enriched. Ok i got some time, here is a small sample of my experience with your mod and others. This is my San Andreas 2... *grab a blunt or a beer or some coffee, grandpa HaK is gonna share a story* :D
Obviously we know what your mod does, but i also can loot bodies, giving me e-cola's, sweets you see in the stores, cash, or simply nothing. Gives you the online inventory in single player. So this add's more to my encounters as i loot my victims/rivals after shoot outs.. (these are not overpowered and only give a small bit of health etc..)
I have two drug mods running, allowing me to sell on a street level to people, this is risky to do in enemy territories but thats the whole point, the nervousness and seeing how long you can operate unseen. There is a chance to sell, get robbed, have the cops called on you, or simply nothing. Then i have the chinatown drug system too, while add's proper dealers with proper screens and graphics of what you can buy and sell, and this is only super fun with YOUR mod... once again trying to sneak into enemy areas unseen and get to the dealers is really cool and hard sometimes which makes it a great challenge.
I play real time... yup my pc system clock time is my actual speed and game time... very slow... i edited the mod to virtually bring the gang mod to a standstill... so i got all my gangs in the right places... and they barely move or take new territories on their own (cause i'm happy with them where they all are) This gives me a small sense of ol' gta 3... chinatown has triads always... etc etc.. So same concept here... (ofc i can speed things up anytime i want) So i play realtime, doing little deals and big deals and looting people, all in realtime which adds just another bit of realism enhancing this mod (only my personal preference) I can also take hostages and kidnap rival gang members...
Next i got the autodrive mod.... spectacular... super fun... i can make one of my gang members drive the cars for me, so i can be in the passenger seat doing drive by's without needing to focus on driving. You set a point on the GPS and can actually plan some fairly excellent drivebys through enemy areas... You can control the cars speed and way of driving so you can do nice slow drivebys at night... (Which is excellent with your defensive fix cause when the shit does hit the proverbial fan the whole neighborhood goes into chaos correctly and getting back to safely is always a blast) So i can do "planned" drivebys. I also have a mod to make the mini map much larger seeing my turfs and surroundings better without needing to go into the menu map. Once again all works to enhance what i'm doing with your mod.
Ok HaK STFU and go play. Lol so yeah bro i forget some of these things are not even your mod but totally should be as the extra fun i'm having is incredible. So yeah if you ever incorporate some of these idea's i can say from personal experience it only makes your mod even cooler to play.
Combine all the above with your mod and you got the ultimate gangster mod ever. Pretty much an entire game overhaul! :D So would be cool if the "jobs" or "roles" could eventually be added... Guns trafficking, Pimps, Drug selling n trafficking, Car theft rings, (hell even business extortion's if some kind of business model or store fronts for advanced rich gangs gets implemented) :D
Ok shut up grandpa lol. Baby steps bro, Rome wasn't built in a day. Saving car customizations is a great first step. :D But with your awesome skills i can only see great things for the future evolution or expansion of this mod. :D
@lucasvinbr Lol buddy really not necessary! :D We shouldn't be touching insert unless we expecting things to reset (gotta enable them every time we start up anyway.. ctrl N) So yeah! :D Well i been playing a metric shit ton over the past few days and it's truly glorious. Works 100's and i got no complaints. If you ever wanted to expand this mod i could only suggest the following... 1 : Add a Gun trafficking/GTA/drug system into the gangs to explain where all the money from turfs is earned. Perhaps each gang could choose how they earn their cash. Jacking cars, Selling dope, Selling guns or all of the above. The reason i even bring this up is because of other mods i'm using which almost work hand in hand with your mod as if they were apart of it... I have the Gta4chinatown drug system... which places dealers all over the city and it's quite a rush going to some of them... as they are in enemy turfs... making my deals way more exciting and dangerous. (not simply a matter of worrying about cops) If this mod had something like this... it could expand upon the idea and even have dealers built in to spawn in areas only controlled by "drug type earner gangs" This is really not needed as i'm already doing it with these mods... but hey could add a ton of atmosphere with new things or ways to explain how ya'll getting all those pretty coins from yer turfs! :D Would be cool as the dealing would be apart of this mod (possibly customizable) and could fluctuate a gangs income depending on how well they doing... hence you could cripple a drug type gang by limiting their supplies etc... anyway i'm just rambling. :D This mod is solid gold as it stands. Rockstar should throw a job offer your way. :D
@lucasvinbr lolol it was the blips vanishing that threw me off thinking it had crashed. Insert never used to remove the blips lol. :D *accepts my tard-award of 2017* *bows* Thank you all! :D hehe
@lucasvinbr Hehe no problem bro i was being a banana... insert says "crashed or reset" then removes blips... if i re-enable blips all is good. So yeah insert is not crashing but resetting. (the message was a bit misleading, but retard here didn't just push ctrl-N again) All good mate! Shot man! :D
@Quokeepac Sorry bud i don't seem to have the same issues as you and i also have menyoo and can use all my mods and changing peds etc etc and don't have the issues you having. (i am not using a mod manager)
@lucasvinbr Lol sup bro, well i CANNOT recreate that random error of losing all my turfs and gangs, i did everything i did before and i even antagonized it by pressing insert... and i quit and go back in and everything is fine... all is there and nothing is missing. Bizarre it happened before, lucky i had a backup. I cant recreate the issue and all is good in my world. I have no clue why the data seemed to edit itself before. But can't make it happen again. So i'm error free honestly. Was just trying to check what quokeepac said above about resources for parachutes etc... and as i went in... all my turf were there but no one owned them... but it's not happening no matter how hard i try to break it. lol Just one thing, why does "insert" now crash the mod? (it never did that before) and anyway pressing insert only crashes the mod, but does not edit or wipe or reset it... so yeah i had some really weird isolated event i guess. :D
@lucasvinbr Hey bud, pretty sure i had not pressed it before i noticed the issue upon my next restart, i then did press insert to test and that crashes the mod. (but did not go and edit the files on its own) So i got a bit of time right now, i'm gonna try work out what leads up to this happening. Will give you an update in a while! :D Will test it all extensively now. :D
@Quokeepac Sup bro, ok so i read your comment and thought i'd investigate it and yeah you are right and wrong... Firstly the gangs automatically get saved to the relevant files in the gangmoddata folder... so technically you should never lose what you save. There is no secondary resource... i can call in parachutes etc... BUT BUT BUT... @lucasvinbr... i did just see some mysterious issue... I opened up my game (pc has not been restarted) and hey... all my gangs were gone...??? all the turfs where white again.... so i checked the gangmoddata folder and saw it someone all on its own... edited the files and messed them up... removing all my gangs and many other things... LUCKILY i had a backup of my gangmoddata folder and just repasted it back in and all works again... BUT HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? So i quit the game again... went back in.. and they were still there, so the issue did not happen twice... (under the same conditions that it happened the first time) Soooo it looks like there is some kind of issue... (also want to know why "insert" now breaks the mod and removes the blips and therefore needs an entire restart to restore gangs?) Soooo @Quokeepac you are experiencing some issue which this version must be doing... (i have none of your symptoms except my gangs and turfs being wiped clean) So our good mate lucasvinbr needs to investigate this a little. (not sure why my gangs did not disappear when i just re-tested it) @lucasvinbr so somehow the mod can sometimes edit and or corrupt your gangmoddata files all on its own??? For example, my gangdata.xml is 36kb well when i saw all my gangs and turfs gone, that gangdata.xml was only 8kb... so it did that all on its own. (thank god for my previous backup of my already setup files) Not sure how or what caused this and i will try to repeat it to see what did it... All i did playing last night was change to defensive and v.agressive and shot some people, i did not save my game or anything else weird. (so makes no sense i just repeated what i did last night and did not lose them all again?) Peculiar.
@lucasvinbr Wooohooo! Thanks bro for adding my idea for the gangs to do more than just wonder! Works perfectly so far, defensive works perfect too. This is super gold right here! (only 1 hour testing, but seems solid) :D THANKS BRO!!! :D
@lucasvinbr... sup man, so been testing this defensive thing alot and i'm pretty confused... sometimes they shoot back at cops (like i said above) Sometimes they don't. (not sure if they literally need to be shot themselves) So perhaps a small fix could be this... Leave the defensive as is... BUT the second anyone fires a guy... have the option automatically set itself to aggressive or v.aggressive. (as everyone would be alert from the gunfire) (yes we would then need to manually change it back to defensive after the shootouts but thats no problem as its the same as telling your members to chill lol) that could be a tiny fix if other ways are not working out.
@lucasvinbr All good dude. I see that they do still shoot at cops in my car driving around on defensive while i'm under attack, but not other gang members. (unless they sometimes do and i just haven't tested enough) About the "groupies standing around" lol that would be sweet. (i do see all the hard coded gangs do do that already though) Don't want you going out your way, but perhaps you could add a small option for it in case others don't want that. Perhaps a patrol mode (as is now) or a groupie mode (what i suggested) Lol whichever is easiest and not a hassle or problem to implement. Beggers can't be choosers! :D Thank as always bro! :D
