Storm chase vehicles are built to pursuit severe weather conditions, being a tornado the biggest objective for most chasers.
This one is built upon a robust Vapid Sandking XL, and it's inspired on the TIVs, SRV Dominators and others storm chasers.
It has been heavily armored so that it can drive into a weak to relatively strong tornado (EF0 to EF3) to take pictures, videos, and collect data for scientific investigation. For that it is equipped with a radar, 7 built in cameras to capture 360º around the vehicle, and other measurement equipments. It also features a dedicated interior for the crew to be able to spot, chase and record the storms.
Storm chase vehicles are generally garage builds, done upon existing cars, mostly pickup-trucks, and not very sophisticated on their body work, as far as curved surfaces are concerned, which in a sense suits the constraints of building a car with the Menyoo object spooner. That being said I tried to be as detailed and meticulous as possible, both with the exterior and interior.
As a result of being designed to withstand strong winds, its armored body also seems to resists quite well the impact of other vehicles... coming at it at full speed! Try to ram it with any car or truck at full speed. It won't move. Even with the Ramp Buggy or the Phantom Wedge... good luck! Really, I mean it. You will fly off the window!
Hope you like it.
Good chase!

Mm. Yummy. Wish it wasn't for menyoo tho
nice
Dope, was gonna do this a while ago but lost interest in it
Fucking awesome. :D
awesome but can you just turn it into a add-on vehicle.
Couldn't get all of the objects to spawn on it, ah well wish it were a stand alone vehicle as it looks awesome!
Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback and I'm glad you liked it!
@jfavignano about not being able to get all the objects to spawn, I sometimes have the same problem, and it can be quite frustrating... especially after days of work. But I found out that it seems to be random: sometimes some objects don't spawn, then after restarting the game they do. Sorry for not being able to sort this out, even after searching I've never completely understood why this happens.
Just for the record, the objects that sometimes didn't spawn were the rear bumper "v_serv_metro_metaljunk3", and some of the monitors used inside the vehicle "v_serv_ct_monitor0x".
@Fractagram OMG IT LOOKS SOOO AWESOME !!!! BIG BIG THANKS !!!
@Fractagram Looks awesome, very realistic and creative. I know this is a dumb question but does it glitch when you hit peds? I've noticed a lot of collision issues when I'm attaching props to a vehicle.
@Impactjunky Thanks! Nothing's odd when you are hitting peds... except the fact that you are hitting peds. Just kidding, but yes, the impacts get somehow more violent hitting peds or vehicles.
The more curious part about attached props and collisions in this particular case is, like I said in the description, the fact that regardless of what vehicle you drive into the Storm Chaser, it doesn't move. And with some adjustments I made, it is rock solid, even with the Ramp Buggy, Phantom Wedge or the Rhino Tank.
And by the way, congrats on your mods. You have some very fine ones!
@Fractagram Thanks, the reason I ask about hitting peds is because this is a great zombie apocalypse vehicle.
Ahahah, Allah Akbar :'D
@Fractagram Could you make this as an add-on in general?
@Fractagram make this an add on!!!!!!!!
Still one of the best Menyoo vehicles
One of the best vehicles out there! Enjoyed using it for my storm chasing episode!
late question, is it possible to add bullet resistant windows to this for realism?
How do I deploy the vehicle?
