こんにちは! This mod is no longer available, due to being deprecated by an officially-released Sparrow by Rockstar Games. The mod's purpose has always been to provide a stock variant of the Sea Sparrow that was missing at the time of its release, and it has served its purpose well. "The VC-84 Sparrow is your friend when it comes to freighting twice the helicopter's weight of drugs across the border in a little, armable, flimsy helicopter originally designed for the emergency services, military, and the beach-loving civilians with more money than piloting skills. Sit in the cockpit, and take off into the sunset over Vice Beach as your dreamy journey slowly transforms into a fireball caused by the palm tree you just grazed."
This is a simple edit of the Sea Sparrow which removes the floats and replaces them with skids. A GTA with a Sparrow/Sea Sparrow without its other counterpart to accompany it? Blasphemy. Now if only we had a HD version of Vice City....
Note: it uses some data from the Sea Sparrow. Make sure you're on the latest version, or at the very least have the latest DLC, if you don't want this to be a bugfest.
[FEATURES]
-Skids. No, it can't land on water anymore.
-Proper LODs are here. I think. If your game doesn't run out of memory right away they're probably there.
-This is a filler line because idk what else is there really. I guess it flies so there's that.
[INSTALLATION]
Drop the "spsparrow" folder into dlcpacks and add the line "dlcpacks:\spsparrow\" to dlclist.xml in update.rpf/common/data.
That's about it. Enjoy!

@JRod Thanks. Yes, if you have the "mpassault" DLC pack it will work on the previous patch.
@WildBrick142 So this change to the Sea Sparrow won't work with the 1.0.1290.1 patch? It only works in the new 1.0.1365 upgrade that includes the "mpassault" DLC?
Awesome work! I love the Sparrow Heli's, Im happy R* finally added one to the game for us to enjoy! Now we also have the non water version. Nice! :)
@WildBrick142 Does this "Add-on" completely replaces the "Sea sparrow" with its water-landing capabilities? or is it a totally different model derived from the original helicopter that works separately as an "Add-On" but, still allowing to spawn the original helicopter with its water skids? Does this prototype mod interferes if I just want to spawn the regular "Sea Sparrow" at will via trainer?
@JAM102970 It's a different model that works separately. You will still be able to spawn the Sea Sparrow.

@WildBrick142 The mod worked well but, you forgot to provide the "spawn" name for the trainer in the read_me. I was having a tough time trying to spawn this thing, first I typed in: "spsparrow" and returned an "invalid model" error, then I tried typing "VC84" that didn't worked, then I typed "VC84SPARROW" no luck, finally I just typed in "SPARROW" that finally spawned the damn helicopter, that info should've been included in the read_me but, anyways nice heli, mod worked great.
Very nice, but could you add the turrets for it?

If you're talking about the weapons, they're there, they just to be added in LSC or with a vehicle customization trainer.

@JAM102970 The spawn name of a vehicle is same with the .yft file. Just explore a bit what's inside of the thing you install :)
