21st century, and people are still acting childish about what they consider masculine vs. feminine. Let me just say this, if you're willing to try and cut down someone because of a show that has no affect on your personal life, you've lost any sense of humility on your part. You've lost what made you a "Man", and are now acting like a child because something doesn't fit what you're used to. Now, many bronies are guilty of the same thing when it comes to defending what they believe in, but they get a self-defense pass from me. I haven't particularly watched the show in its entire 9 seasons, but I have seen enough to know the rich character development, deep rooted history, and sheer relatability(well, however much you can related to small equines that live with a 50/50 chance that magic will either keep them alive or rip their world apart) keep people engrossed. Just like any other show with a reasonable story and continuity will do. And this show has carried continuity from day one, and the staff definitely haven't shied away from the occasional fan-service. Usually, this means showing a character that was banned for some reason; or confirming on social media that some characters of the same-sex may or may not be romantically involved. It's not as simple as it used to be. The days where you could say that "Pink+Rainbow=Feminine" are gone; at least, on their way out. Besides, pink used to be the colour of blanket used for men, because it was considered a stronger colour than the delicate-looking baby blue blankets.
Of course, it does come down to personal preference, but people ignore that and go straight for the self-defaming act of calling out someone for something they enjoy.
