Installation
Requires RagePluginHook 0.36+
Simply copy the contents of the "Files" folder to your root GTA directory. You can then load Auto Blinkers by opening the Rage Console (default F4) and typing LoadPlugin "AutoBlinkers.dll". You can also update your startup script to automatically load Auto Blinkers.
Features
This lightweight plugin aims to improve immersion, by intelligently enabling your vehicles turn signals/indicators/blinkers. While turning (either with keyboard or controller) either left or right, the respective blinker will be activated. The blinker will be deactivated a couple of seconds after you release the respective direction. As an added safety feature, while in a vehicle parked close to a road your vehicles hazard lights (both blinkers simultaneously) will activate. Steering will override the hazards, allowing you to properly indicate back onto the roadway for maximum immersion.

Blinkers will now remain on for 5 seconds after triggered (up from 2 seconds). This seems to provide a smoother experience while turning.
Hazards will now disengage as soon as the vehicle starts moving (no longer tied to the blinker time delay extended above).
It is now possible, using the Left/Right arrow keys (configurable) to toggle your left/right blinkers on manually. This can be used at any speed, and blinkers will remain on for 5 seconds from when the key is pressed.
While stopped, holding the spacebar will prevent the hazards from activating. This is a temporary workaround until I can find a better way of stopping the hazards while you're simply stopped at traffic lights.

I know, I know. I want that WITH automatic left and right blinkers.
Just uploaded a new version that adds keys to force the blinkers on (defaults to left/right arrow), and an option to hold spacebar while stopped to prevent your hazards from coming on.
What about blinkers for changing lanes?
very cool idea! but it be very nice to see a version not for RAGE plugin.(i choose not to use it even though i do own the game).
can this be made to work with ScriptHookVDotNet which alot of us use?
nevertheless can you add in .ini options so we can set our own time limits for example how long turn signals stay on? imo 5 seconds is bit too long. and having hazards on or off while stopped. otherwise great mod!

@darkmyre You know that there are mods that already auto turn the blinkers off when you finish a turn instead of just turning off after 5 seconds, which is way more realistic, you could look at how they did it.
@darkmyre So i installed this but when i turn using my xbox controller i turn the car like i normally do but i get no blinkers coming on at all???

possible to make the blinkers only go on automatically after turning for a few seconds? its rather confusing that everytime i adjust the car to the streat the blinker gos on as if i would want to leave the road.
