Installation:
Drag and drop the starfield.dds file into:
Mods > x64a.rpf > Textures > skydome.ytd
Compatible with ALL graphic mods.
Suggested to be used with VisualV for much darker nights!!
https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/visualv
Changelog:
1.0: Release
1.1: Fixed bright stars.
This should be compatible with all graphic mods since it replaces the stars, not the timecycle files. It is not compatible with mods that make stars 4k or a different texture.
Why use this mod
Ever notice how the night sky in GTA V shows a sky full of stars even deep in downtown Los Santos, Thats not very realistic. This mod reduces the number of visible stars, giving it a more realistic feeling and making nights feel much darker with ZERO performance loss.
Issues/Things you should note:
The sky may appear more noisy/staticky at times.
This mod may give a slight performance boost since theres much lesser star texture(s) to render
